- A Fine Sword: This longsword is unassuming from afar, but at closer inspection, it bears a clear mark of an ancient, legendary blacksmith.
Hooks
- After discovering the fine longsword on the cart of a travelling merchant, it becomes obvious that the merchant doesn't know what he has.
The players would do well to hide their knowledge and surprise from the merchant. Once obtained, the players can follow clues found on the
pommel of the blade leading them to the ancestors of the original craftsman, the Rockstons. The Rockstons, while no longer possessing the skills necessary
to craft, have been collecting the historic works and will go to great lengths to obtain the Fine Sword. If it is offered freely, the Rockstons
will tip heavily and offer further payment for finding more. There are even old family stories about some of the work being heavily enchanted.
The Rockstons offer an heirloom book that contains information about 12 unfound works, some blades, some armor, and a single spear.
